Narco States & Organized Crime
The infiltration of drug traffickers and organized crime into all branches of the governments, judiciaries, police and militaries of Guatemala and Honduras are not the underlying cause of systematic violence, corruption and impunity in these countries.
They take advantage of and worsen the underlying cause of systematic violence, corruption and impunity in these countries, and are symptoms of the fact that Honduras and Guatemala are dominated by anti-democratic, military-backed, corrupt, ‘open-for-global-business’ regimes.
