Rights Action recommends this article (by T.J. Coles, Counterpunch, December 20, 2020) as a reminder and refresher about the enormity of wealth, power and violence the Honduran people are resisting and fighting to transform, and about the underlying role, responsibility and complicity of the U.S. and allies in the “international community”.

For a majority of Guatemalans, 2020 has been a year of devastating suffering and death due to COVID-19 and Hurricanes ETA and IOTA, suffering and death that were immeasurably increased by the utter lack of support from the fundamentally shitty Guatemalan government that continues to participate in Canada-led “Lima Group” meetings in support of US-led efforts to overthrow the government of Venezuela.
