The deaths and harms caused by Covid19 – a devastating threat to life and huge challenge to how humans co-exist – are multiplied and worsened by deeply entrenched systems of human inequality, discrimination and violence.

What kind of Covid-19 response do you think these U.S. and Canadian-backed drug-trafficking regimes are providing for their majority populations?

Covid19 is a serious health challenge to humans. However, the real problems multiplying and worsening the impact of Covid19 are deeply entrenches systems of human inequality, discrimination and violence.

In the midst of Covid19, and as part of a multi-year effort led by the U.S. and Canada’s ‘Lima Group’ of repressive Latin American regimes, a military attack was launched in Venezuela aimed at ‘regime changing’ the Venezuelan government.

Since March 15, 2020, Rights Action has sent close to $30,000 (ranging from $200 to $2000 grants) to community groups, mainly in Honduras and Guatemala, that are responding to Covid19, a pandemic that is worsening the “normal” pandemics of exploitation-poverty and discrimination, land dispossession, human rights violations and repression.

The spectacularly corrupt and violent situation in Honduras is U.S. and Canadian policy at work, and the situation just got worse.
