In the last election (November 2025), right-wing forces in Honduras and blatant US interference defeated the country’s progressive government as part of a broader campaign against leftist governments across Latin America. Hear eye-witness reports from our activist speakers about the resistance to attacks on the Garifuna, repression in the Aguán, the libertarian Zede and Prospera projects, and the new right-wing government.
Karen Spring is a human rights defender, researcher, and the Honduras-based co-coordinator of the Honduras Solidarity Network (HSN). She is also on the board of TFA and has led TFA delegations to Honduras.
Grahame Russell, director of Rights Action, has lived in Mexico and various Central America countries, working on human rights, environment, and development issues. He too has led TFA delegations.
