Freedom Flotilla Coalition: 2023 - 2025

Since 8 October 2023, Israel has escalated its genocidal campaign against Palestinians in Gaza in an attempt to destroy all forms of life. The Israeli military has murdered tens of thousands of people, if not hundreds of thousands, many more have been wounded, with no end in sight. Additionally, Israel’s calculated starvation and blockade on all food, water, medical supplies and fuel intentionally endangers the entire surviving population. The Israeli military continues to bomb, snipe and systematically eradicate journalists, medical personnel and facilities, aid workers, civilians seeking refuge, and sanitation infrastructure.

In response, the Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC) launched two missions in 2024; ‘Break the Siege‘ and ‘Handala: For the Children of Gaza‘, continuing 17+ years of nonviolent direct action against Israel’s war crimes. Both missions were blocked by Israel and their allies.

Now in 2025, responding to calls from Palestinian partners in Gaza, and in line with the orders of the International Court of Justice and the universal right to freedom of movement, the FFC is preparing to sail as soon as practicable to challenge Israel’s illegal blockade once again. This collective movement is a manifestation of global support for Palestinian self-determination, helping to amplify the voices of people in Gaza who are resisting annihilation and erasure.
