Even as the genocide verdict in Guatemala has been "over-turned" by the very partial Constitutional Court, it is important to focus attention on, and one day hold to account other governments - particularly the United States - and other international actors, such as the World Bank and IDB, for how they contributed to and benefitted from the genocides and crimes against humanity in Guatemala.

Resistencias airs each weeknight at 8pm, Honduras time, and has the largest audience in the people’s peaceful pro-democracy movement.
A Guatemalan court has ordered a criminal investigation of all others involved in the Rios Montt crimes. It won't be easy. Prosecutors and judges will be risking their careers and lives. Witnesses will know that they might die if they come forward to give evidence.
