On May 14, the people of San Pedro Ayampuc and San Pedro del Golfo received our UNBC / Rights Action group at the "La Puya" community resistance site. They fed us lunch, and told us of 2 years of peaceful resistance to the illegal and repressive mining interests of the American company Kappes, Cassidy Associates (KCA), formerly owned by Canadian Radius Gold.
