Se termino el primer dia de audiencias en este juicio unico en la historia de Canada
Juicio civil contra HudBay Minerals será visto en los tribunales Canadienses, los días 4 y 5 de marzo. Se produjo un acontecimiento que sentará precedentes en la demanda que víctimas de origen Maya Qeqchis presentaron contra la empresa HudBay Minerals, por asesinato, lesiones graves y violaciones sexuales en el yacimiento de níquel en Guatemala.

A new year in Guatemala ; same problems of violence, repression and impunity related to mining. The first two weeks of January witnessed outbreaks of violent protests and attacks at three mining operations. Dozens have been wounded; at least 3 people have been killed.
